Re: Girls and Videogames: What's the deal?
Part of it is the stereotype of the gamer nerd that has no life away from their system (as depicted in the WoW episode of South Park), and most non-gamers want nothing to do with somebody like that.
Secondly, it's the fact that video games are yet one more thing to compete for their "man"s attention/devotion, and given the prevalence of sex (or at least hot female bodies) in video games, that's just a losing battle.
Finally, girls don't want anything with a guy who'll try to find her "cheat codes". *L*
