I did only a quick search to see if a topic like this already existed but I did not find one.

I like that people use Rapidshare and Megaupload to share their files. However, with a free account, you can only download once every few hours. Here is my tip for getting around that for those that can do it:

As long as you do not have a static IP address, this works for me. This may also not work for people who download from their office.

After downloading from one of the sites, power off your DSL/cable modem and then turn off your router (some might be in the same box). Give it a minute and then turn the modem then router back on. You should have a new WAN IP address and with that, you can download another file right away from one of these sites. It is not enough to just force a change through router settings because I find that I get the same IP address. This is true of my ISP at least. I hope it works for most everyone else.
