Hapless traffic cop Yoo Sang-hwan (Sympathy for Mr. Vengence) is accidentally hit by a powerful "palm blast" while trying to catch a handbag thief. When he discovers that the blast came from a beautiful martial arts student named Eui-jin, he becomes obsessed with learning the special move himself.
Five ancient Tai-Chi masters, impressed by the fact that Sang-hwan’s exceptionally strong chi has allowed him to survive the blast, recruit him along with Eui-jin to train in martial arts.
