the noise you are talking about might come from that your dvd drive is loose, and as long as the dvd's you put in it don't get scratches from the drive or the dvd's have big scratches(by big scratches i mean to the point where you can feel them, if they are that big, the whole dvd or cd can break into 100 pieces inside your dvd-rom and be lucky if the laser isn't destructed) it should be ok.
