don't go for anything overclocked at the factory .
assemble the computer yourself
don't fall for an on board graphic card.
you need at least 500wat of real power not just 500wat peak power
if you want to use amd x2 6000+ i recommend you to change its fan and if you want to use a black edition (I wont recommend it) you certainly need a Good Fan because there is no fan in the box and that is at least 100 $
for graphic card i really don't know ATI card but some people told me to buy an ati card for my next card but if you want an nvidia in that range i recommend a 8600 (Not 8600 GS)
for ram at least 2Gb of ram buy one with Fbs 800 not 677.
these are in case that you want to buy a new monitor but if you don't want to buy it and you like your current monitor you certainly can go for a 8800 card.

listen to this :D man/woman after me own heart!
Dont do it! stay with nvidia!
But id have to say for the price jump the performance you get from a amd 64 x2 6000 series, a 5600 it much better IMHO.
depends where you buy it from really but the price dropis a massive bonus considerign the fact its not that much slower and runs liek a train!
