Hehe, it's funny that a lot of stuff you read have romance and comedy subplots to them. I am not really informed in fight manga (as you can see by my sig and pic....I'm into Ecchi), but History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi is a fighting manga....and the fight scenes are really cool.
Peridot is also another nice manga to read. Vagabond and Code Geass are nice also. I don't know if you will like them, but I did. Hopefully, they suit you also.
